Glitter Box N.O.
This French Quarter shop aims to give Southern artists of marginalized genders a space to showcase and sell their work. I had to opportunity to work with them from four years, from 2019-2022 and use my photography and graphic design skills to highlight their work on social media, print platforms, and through collaborations with local nonprofits. During my time there, the shop saw a 7% increase in social media followers and a 60% increase in engagement. Glitter Box was also featured in various local news outlets, including New Orleans Magazine and Offbeat Magazine.

Ogden Museum of Southern Art
At Ogden Museum, I had the opportunity to really hone my graphic skills on InDesign. On a daily basis, I wrote copy for social media and press releases. I also designed gallery guides, rack cards, and weekly email newsletters for members and other followers/supporters. We secured numerous features on local news channels and saw a 5.4% increase in social media followers, along with a 26% increase in engagement.
03 / the public sector
Departamento de Salud de Puerto Rico
Although initially hired as a photographer, I quickly became the Lead Press Officer for the Public Relations and Communications Office at the Department of Health in Puerto Rico, working directly with the Secretary of Health and the State Epidemiologist. During my time there, we had to manage three mosquito-borne diseases and epidemics: dengue, chikungunya, and zika. In addition to documenting the organization’s work through photography, I would write press releases and speeches, coordinate interviews and press conferences, manage their social media channels, and produce graphic content, as well as lead large-scale events such as the World Aids Day celebration.
